Packing the kitchen and cookware in Jeddah homes
Algerian families take great care of their kitchenware: copper sets, tagines, serving dishes and kitchen appliances. These are what suffer most on a long sea voyage if they aren’t packed well:

- Copper cookware is wrapped in paper then bubble wrap so it doesn’t scratch.
- Plates and cups are wrapped one by one and stood upright in double-wall cartons.
- Small appliances go into their own boxes or padded cartons.
- The fridge and washer are emptied and dried a day before.
- Because of Jeddah’s humidity we add moisture-absorbing sachets to the cartons and container.
Loading at Jeddah port
A private container is loaded at your home or our warehouse, closed and sealed, then enters Jeddah Islamic Port where the crane lifts it onto the ship. A shared container is consolidated at our warehouse, with your belongings given their own mark and number.
