- The longest land route between Saudi cities and Kuwait, about 1,500 km or more.

- Cars on an enclosed carrier all the way.
The shipment’s route from Jeddah to Kuwait
| Stage | Details | Approx. time |
|---|---|---|
| Collection and packing | At your home in Jeddah, with dismantling and inventory | One day |
| Jeddah → Al Raqai | About 1,400 km via Riyadh or Hail | About two days |
| Crossing and clearance | Al Raqai, then Al Salmi | Hours |
| Al Salmi → your address | Jahra, the Capital and the other governorates | Hours |
We choose the road by its condition and the season: via Riyadh and then Hafar Al Batin, or via Madinah and Hail and then Hafar Al Batin. Either way your belongings stay on the same truck from Jeddah to your home in Kuwait.
Which crossing does your shipment from Jeddah use?

| Al Raqai → Al Salmi | North of Hafar Al Batin | Riyadh, Qassim, Hail and the Western Region | Jahra and Farwaniya, then the Capital |
Jeddah shipments enter Kuwait from Al Raqai to Al Salmi, the closest crossing for anyone coming from the west and centre. We only use Khafji from Jeddah if the address is in southern Kuwait and that saves time.

Packing for the long road from Jeddah
A shipment from Jeddah to Kuwait crosses almost the whole Kingdom and spends long hours in desert heat. So we pack with heavier materials than on short routes: two layers for sofas and beds, double-wall cartons for appliances, wooden crates for glass and antiques, and moisture-absorbing sachets because the belongings leave Jeddah’s humid air.
We put on every carton its number and the room it came from, so the delivery crew puts everything in its place without you having to ask.
Packing furniture in Jeddah

Jeddah homes usually have mirrors, paintings, china sets and wooden furniture, so we prepare:
- Protective frames for mirrors, paintings and glass.
- Wooden crates for antiques and chandeliers.
- Divided cartons for dishes, each piece wrapped on its own.
- Wrapping wood once it is dry, then blankets.
- Moisture-absorbing sachets inside appliance and clothes cartons.
Loading in Jeddah and the truck type
Many Jeddah homes are flats in towers, so we use the freight lift or an external hoist for big pieces. We stack the load to withstand more than 1,500 kilometres: heavy at the bottom, fragile on top, gaps filled.

| Truck type | Best for | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|
| Shared truck | Cartons, one or two rooms, a few appliances | Per item or per cubic metre |
| Private dyna or medium truck | A small flat or an office | One price for the whole trip |
| 13 to 15 m closed trailer | A villa or large home, or goods | One price for the whole trip |
| Refrigerated truck | Dates and sensitive food | Per pallet or per trip |
| Enclosed car carrier | One or more cars | Per car, by size |
A few items are consolidated at our Jeddah warehouse and loaded onto the shared truck heading east.
Car shipping from Jeddah to Kuwait
We collect the car from your home in Jeddah, clean and photograph it, fit a protective cover, then load it onto an enclosed car carrier that covers the whole road free of dust.

Kuwait has conditions for importing used cars, usually chiefly that a passenger car is no more than five years old, and that it is imported in the name of a Kuwaiti national or through a sponsoring entity for non-Kuwaitis, with customs duty charged as a percentage of the value set by the customs inspector. These conditions can change, so we send your car’s details to the broker in Kuwait before booking and tell you what applies to it. Its papers from the Kingdom: a valid registration, no fines or liens, an export request through Absher or the traffic department with the plates handed in, the purchase invoice or sale contract, and a copy of your ID or iqama.
If you will drive your own car to Kuwait for a visit and bring it back, that is an ordinary crossing with valid GCC insurance and the car’s papers, and needs no shipping.
Air freight from Jeddah to Kuwait
Air freight from Jeddah to Kuwait goes from King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah to Kuwait International Airport, and usually takes one to two working days.

Air suits:
- Documents, contracts and certificates.
- Small devices such as laptops and phones in their original boxes.
- Commercial samples and urgent spare parts.
- Gifts and light personal items.
It is charged on the greater of actual and volumetric weight; send us the weight and dimensions and we will work it out for you. In most cases furniture does not need air, as the truck arrives in a few days at a much lower cost.
Shipping goods from Jeddah to Kuwait
Jeddah is a major trading hub, and traders send fabrics, perfumes, food, appliances and spare parts from it to Kuwait. We stack them on pallets, prepare the invoice and certificate of origin, and ship on a shared or full truck.
Jeddah districts we collect from
Al Hamra, Al Rawdah, Al Zahra, Al Salamah, Al Naeem, Al Mohammadiyah and North Obhur in the north; Al Safa, Al Marwah, Al Faisaliyah and Al Rabwah in the centre; Al Aziziyah, Al Rehab and Al Samer in the east; Al Balad, Al Sharafiyah and Al Baghdadiyah; and Al Hamdaniyah, Al Sawari, Al Sanabel and Al Jamiah in the south.
Will duties be charged on your belongings in Kuwait?
Used household belongings are not usually treated like commercial goods, but Kuwaiti customs assesses each shipment on its own and asks for clear papers showing the contents are personal and that you are a resident or national. The main ones:
- A copy of the receiver’s passport and Kuwaiti civil ID.
- A copy of a valid Kuwaiti residence for non-Kuwaitis.
- A numbered packing list with the contents of every carton and item.
- The receiver present, or an official authorisation for the broker.
- Avoid shipping new boxed appliances in quantity, as they may be treated as goods.
We tell you plainly what may delay a shipment: medicines in quantity, a large number of books, and new appliances. These are not usually banned, but they need review, so we arrange their papers before the road.
GCC-origin goods and the customs exemption
Saudi Arabia and Kuwait are members of the GCC customs union, and goods of GCC national origin enter Kuwait free of customs duties when accompanied by a valid certificate of origin. Goods of foreign origin already cleared in the Kingdom are treated under the customs union rules and may attract duties in Kuwait depending on their situation. So we ask traders for the commercial invoice, certificate of origin and packing list before loading.
Documents required for shipping to Kuwait
- A copy of the sender’s ID or iqama and passport.
- A copy of the receiver’s passport and civil ID in Kuwait.
- A numbered packing list.
- For goods: a commercial invoice, certificate of origin and packing list.
- For cars: export papers from the traffic department and the purchase invoice.

What happens at the border?
We send copies of the papers to the broker before the truck arrives, so preparation starts before it joins the queue. After inspection and release the truck continues to your address, and we tell you when it will arrive.
Do you need insurance?
If your shipment includes a car, expensive appliances or furniture that is hard to replace, insurance is worth its small cost. It is calculated as a percentage of the declared value, and we document the items’ condition with photos during packing.
