Shipping to Kuwait from the first line:
- Land: the main route for furniture and goods, on a shared or private truck.
- Crossings: Khafji → Nuwaiseeb, and Al Raqai → Al Salmi.
- Air: for documents and urgent parcels in one to two days.
- GCC-origin goods: duty-free with a valid certificate of origin.
- Cars: on an enclosed carrier after reviewing Kuwait’s conditions for them.
The shipment’s route from Saudi Arabia to Kuwait
| Stage | Details | Approx. time |
|---|---|---|
| Collection and packing | At your home in any Saudi city | One day |
| The road to the crossing | From 300 km from Dammam to about 1,400 km from Jeddah | Hours to two days |
| Crossing and clearance | Khafji or Al Raqai | Hours |
| Crossing → your address | Any Kuwaiti governorate | Hours |
Kuwait is a close land neighbour, so land remains the route for most furniture and goods: the truck is loaded at your door and unloaded at your door. Sea is unnecessary at this distance, and air is for urgent, light items.
Which crossing does your shipment from Saudi Arabia use?
| Saudi → Kuwaiti crossing | Location | Usually used by shipments from | Closest to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Al Khafji → Al Nuwaiseeb | On the coast north of the Eastern Province | Dammam, Khobar, Jubail and Al Ahsa | Ahmadi, Fahaheel and Mangaf, then the Capital and Hawalli |
| Al Raqai → Al Salmi | North of Hafar Al Batin | Riyadh, Qassim, Hail and the Western Region | Jahra and Farwaniya, then the Capital |
We choose the crossing by your city in the Kingdom and your area in Kuwait: Khafji for shipments from the Eastern Province or to southern Kuwait, and Al Raqai for shipments from Riyadh, Qassim and the west or to Jahra and Farwaniya.
Shipping to Kuwait by your region in the Kingdom
| Collection region | Usual crossing | Approx. time to Kuwait |
|---|---|---|
| Dammam, Khobar and Jubail | Khafji | One to two working days |
| Al Ahsa | Khafji | One to two working days |
| Hafar Al Batin and Khafji | Al Raqai or Khafji | One day |
| Riyadh and Al Kharj | Al Raqai | Two to three working days |
| Qassim and Hail | Al Raqai | Two to three working days |
| Madinah | Al Raqai | Three to four working days |
| Jeddah and Taif | Al Raqai | Three to four working days |
| Makkah | Al Raqai | Three to four working days |
Eastern and northern cities are closer to Kuwait than western and southern ones, so the time varies from city to city. Either way your belongings stay on the same truck from your home to your door.

Packing furniture in Saudi Arabia

From the west the road to Kuwait is over a thousand kilometres, and from the Eastern Province much shorter, but we do not cut the packing short in either case:
- Sofas and majlis seating: plastic, then moving blankets.
- Wardrobes and beds: dismantled, with screws numbered in bags.
- Fridges and washing machines: emptied, dried, doors secured.
- Screens: boxes lined with foam.
- Glass, mirrors and antiques: protective frames or wooden crates.
- Dishes: each piece wrapped on its own in divided cartons.
Loading in Saudi Arabia and the truck type
We build the load in layers: heavy at the bottom, fragile on top, gaps filled and straps tight, and the truck is closed after the load is checked against the packing list.

| Truck type | Best for | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|
| Shared truck | Cartons, one or two rooms, a few appliances | Per item or per cubic metre |
| Private dyna or medium truck | A small flat or an office | One price for the whole trip |
| 13 to 15 m closed trailer | A villa or large home, or goods | One price for the whole trip |
| Refrigerated truck | Dates and sensitive food | Per pallet or per trip |
| Enclosed car carrier | One or more cars | Per car, by size |
A shared truck is cheaper for anyone with few items, a private truck is faster and loaded in a single day, and a refrigerated truck is for dates and sensitive food.
Car shipping from Saudi Arabia to Kuwait
We collect your car from your home, clean it and photograph it from every side, fit a protective cover, then load it onto an enclosed car carrier and secure it with straps and chocks.

Kuwait has conditions for importing used cars, usually chiefly that a passenger car is no more than five years old, and that it is imported in the name of a Kuwaiti national or through a sponsoring entity for non-Kuwaitis, with customs duty charged as a percentage of the value set by the customs inspector. These conditions can change, so we send your car’s details to the broker in Kuwait before booking and tell you what applies to it. Its papers from the Kingdom: a valid registration, no fines or liens, an export request through Absher or the traffic department with the plates handed in, the purchase invoice or sale contract, and a copy of your ID or iqama.
If you will drive your own car to Kuwait for a visit and bring it back, that is an ordinary crossing with valid GCC insurance and the car’s papers, and needs no shipping.
Air freight from Saudi Arabia to Kuwait
Air freight from Saudi Arabia to Kuwait goes from the airports of Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah to Kuwait International Airport, and usually takes one to two working days.

Air suits:
- Documents, contracts and certificates.
- Small devices such as laptops and phones in their original boxes.
- Commercial samples and urgent spare parts.
- Gifts and light personal items.
It is charged on the greater of actual and volumetric weight; send us the weight and dimensions and we will work it out for you. In most cases furniture does not need air, as the truck arrives in a few days at a much lower cost.
Shipping commercial goods to Kuwait
For traders and companies we ship food, dates, cosmetics, appliances, spare parts, building materials and online-store products from the Kingdom to Kuwait. We stack the goods on wrapped pallets, prepare the commercial invoice, certificate of origin and packing list, and ship on a shared, full or refrigerated truck.
Delivery across every governorate of Kuwait
We deliver to the Capital, Hawalli, Farwaniya, Jahra, Ahmadi and Mubarak Al-Kabeer, to homes, flats, offices and warehouses. The crew unloads the furniture, carries it inside and reassembles it if that is part of the agreement, and you check the items against the packing list with us before signing.
Will duties be charged on your belongings in Kuwait?
Used household belongings are not usually treated like commercial goods, but Kuwaiti customs assesses each shipment on its own and asks for clear papers showing the contents are personal and that you are a resident or national. The main ones:
- A copy of the receiver’s passport and Kuwaiti civil ID.
- A copy of a valid Kuwaiti residence for non-Kuwaitis.
- A numbered packing list with the contents of every carton and item.
- The receiver present, or an official authorisation for the broker.
- Avoid shipping new boxed appliances in quantity, as they may be treated as goods.
We tell you plainly what may delay a shipment: medicines in quantity, a large number of books, and new appliances. These are not usually banned, but they need review, so we arrange their papers before the road.
GCC-origin goods and the customs exemption
Saudi Arabia and Kuwait are members of the GCC customs union, and goods of GCC national origin enter Kuwait free of customs duties when accompanied by a valid certificate of origin. Goods of foreign origin already cleared in the Kingdom are treated under the customs union rules and may attract duties in Kuwait depending on their situation. So we ask traders for the commercial invoice, certificate of origin and packing list before loading.
Documents required for shipping to Kuwait
- A copy of the sender’s ID or iqama and passport.
- A copy of the receiver’s passport and civil ID in Kuwait.
- A numbered packing list.
- For goods: a commercial invoice, certificate of origin and packing list.
- For cars: export papers from the traffic department and the purchase invoice.
- An authorisation for the clearing company in Kuwait.
What happens at the border?
We send copies of the papers to the broker before the truck arrives, so preparation starts before it joins the queue. After inspection and release the truck continues to your address, and we tell you when it will arrive.
Do you need insurance?
If your shipment includes a car, expensive appliances or furniture that is hard to replace, insurance is worth its small cost. It is calculated as a percentage of the declared value, and we document the items’ condition with photos during packing.
What cannot be shipped to Kuwait
- Alcoholic drinks and pork products.
- Weapons and ammunition, including antique ones.
- Flammable materials, gas cylinders and fuel.
- Medicines in quantity or without a prescription and Ministry of Health permission.
- Walkie-talkies and anything banned under either country’s rules.
- Loose lithium batteries by air.
