Who ships from the UAE to the Kingdom?
Most of our customers in this direction are Saudis who have finished their work or study in the UAE and returned home, residents moving with their work from Dubai or Abu Dhabi to Riyadh, Dammam or Jeddah, companies moving offices or opening branches in the Kingdom, and traders bringing goods from the markets of Dubai and Sharjah. Some have also bought furniture or a car in the UAE and want it moved to their home.
Each case has its own papers: a returning Saudi’s used furniture is usually exempt, as is that of a resident arriving for the first time, while commercial goods have their invoice and certificate of origin.
Packing furniture in the UAE

Most homes in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are flats in towers, with modern furniture, a lot of glass and large screens. We prepare the right packing for each piece:
- Glass tables and mirrors in wooden frames.
- Screens in boxes lined with foam.
- Sofas in plastic, then blankets.
- Bedrooms and wardrobes dismantled, with screws numbered.
- Dishes and crystal wrapped piece by piece.
- Appliances in double-wall cartons, fridges emptied a day before.
Loading in the UAE
In towers we book the freight lift with the building management ahead of the date, protect the corridors and lift with boards and covers, then bring the furniture down to the truck in the service bay. At villas the truck stops at your door and is loaded in front of you.

| Truck type | Best for | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|
| Shared truck | Cartons, one or two rooms, a few appliances | Per kg, per item or per cubic metre |
| Private dyna or medium truck | A small flat or an office | One price for the whole trip |
| 13 to 15 m closed trailer | A villa or large home, or goods | One price for the whole trip |
| Refrigerated truck | Dates, food and sensitive medicines | Per pallet or per trip |
| Enclosed car carrier | One or more cars | Per car, by size |
The load is built in layers and strapped, and we send you a photo of it before departure.
Car shipping from the UAE to Saudi Arabia
We collect the car from your home in the UAE, clean it and photograph it from every side, fit a protective cover, then load it onto an enclosed car carrier and secure it with straps and chocks.

The Kingdom allows the import of used cars no more than five years old, provided they meet Saudi specifications, with 5% customs duty on their value plus VAT. A car already cleared in the UAE may be treated under the GCC customs union rules. These conditions can change, so we review your car’s details with the broker before booking. Its papers from the UAE: the car’s ownership card, the export certificate and export plates from the RTA or the emirate’s traffic department, the purchase invoice, and a copy of your passport and ID.
If you will drive your own car to the Kingdom for a visit and take it back, that is an ordinary crossing with valid insurance covering the Kingdom, and needs no shipping.
The customs exemption for used furniture in the Kingdom
The customs law exempts personal effects and used household items brought by Saudi nationals living abroad on their return, and used household items brought by foreigners arriving to live in the Kingdom for the first time, provided they are not commercial in nature and meet the controls set by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority. Usually required:
- A copy of the Saudi national ID, or the Saudi iqama for residents.
- A copy of the passport.
- A numbered packing list with the contents of every carton and item.
- An authorisation for the customs broker through the Fasah platform.
- Proof that your residence or work in the UAE has ended, if requested.
New boxed appliances in quantity may be treated as goods subject to duties and VAT, and we tell you before loading.
Goods from the UAE to the Kingdom
Goods of GCC national origin enter the Kingdom free of customs duties with a valid certificate of origin, while foreign-origin goods that traders buy in Dubai’s markets are treated under the customs union rules and some products may need Saudi conformity certificates. We stack them on pallets, prepare the invoice, certificate of origin and packing list, and send them to the broker before the truck reaches Al Batha.
Documents required for shipping from the UAE to Saudi Arabia
- A copy of the sender’s passport and Emirates ID or residence.
- A copy of the receiver’s Saudi national ID or iqama.
- A numbered packing list.
- For goods: a commercial invoice, certificate of origin and packing list.
- For cars: the UAE export certificate and the ownership card.
- The broker’s authorisation through Fasah.
Crossing and clearance between Ghuwaifat and Al Batha
The truck leaves Ghuwaifat once the UAE export papers are stamped, then enters the Al Batha crossing, where the broker files the Saudi customs declaration and the load is checked against the packing list. When the papers have been sent ahead, this usually takes hours, and the truck then continues to your city.
Delivery in Saudi cities
We deliver to Dammam, Khobar, Dhahran, Al Ahsa, Riyadh, Qassim, Jeddah, Makkah, Madinah, Taif, Abha and elsewhere. The crew unloads the furniture, carries it inside and reassembles bedrooms and wardrobes if that is part of the agreement, and you check the items against the packing list with us before signing.
