Who ships from Fujairah to Saudi Arabia?
Fujairah has families living in villas and family homes in Al Faseel, Sakamkam, Merashid and Dibba, staff working at the port, the refineries and the marine companies, and teachers and doctors moving to the Kingdom. The shipment’s route from Fujairah to Saudi Arabia
| Stage | Details | Approx. time |
|---|---|---|
| Collection and packing | At your home in Fujairah or Dibba, with dismantling and inventory | One day |
| Fujairah → Dubai over the mountains | The mountain road via Masafi, or the motorway | About two hours |
| Dubai → Ghuwaifat | West through Abu Dhabi | About six hours |
| Crossing and clearance, then your city | Ghuwaifat, then Al Batha, then Al Ahsa, Dammam and Riyadh | One to two days |
The mountain stretch of the road calls for a well-secured load, because the bends and gradients shift things about. We strap everything down before leaving Fujairah and check the load again in Dubai before carrying on west.

Fujairah Port on the Gulf of Oman
Fujairah Port is one of the biggest ports on the region’s east coast, and it takes ships from outside the Gulf. For traders who import through it, we arrange container shipping by sea to the port of Dammam or Jeddah, or move the goods from the port to the Kingdom by land in closed trucks, with clearance included.
Crossing the Hajar Mountains
The road from Fujairah to Dubai crosses the Hajar Mountains, with bends and steep gradients. So we arrange the load with the heavy items at the bottom and in the middle, fill the gaps, and secure appliances on two sides. On this stretch, that protects your furniture more than any packing does.
Furniture packing in Fujairah

Fujairah is humid and coastal, and the road out is long and mountainous, so we pack with both in mind:
- Leather sofas in film and a fabric cover.
- Moisture-absorbing sachets in clothing cartons.
- Bedrooms dismantled and numbered.
- Glass and mirrors upright in frames.
- Appliances in double-wall cartons, secured on two sides.
- Dishes in divided cartons.
Loading in Fujairah
The truck stops at your door, we load the heavy items at the bottom and in the middle, and we strap the load for the mountain road. For traders, we load containers at the port:

| Truck type | Best for | How it is priced |
|---|---|---|
| Shared truck | Cartons, one or two rooms, a few appliances | Per kg, per item or per cubic metre |
| Private dyna or medium truck | A small flat or an office | One price for the whole trip |
| 13 to 15 m closed trailer | A villa or large home, or goods | One price for the whole trip |
| Refrigerated truck | Dates, food and sensitive medicines | Per pallet or per trip |
| Enclosed car carrier | One or more cars | Per car, by size |
The load is built in layers and strapped, and we send you a photo of it before the truck sets off.
Car shipping from Fujairah to Saudi Arabia
We collect the car from your home in Fujairah, clean it and photograph it, fit a protective cover, then load it onto an enclosed car carrier and secure it firmly for the mountain crossing.

The Kingdom allows the import of used cars no more than five years old under the current requirements, provided they meet Saudi specifications, with 5% customs duty and 15% VAT. These conditions can change, so we review your car’s details with the broker before booking. Its papers: the car’s ownership card, the export certificate and export plates from the Fujairah traffic department, the purchase invoice, and a copy of your passport and ID.
The customs exemption for used furniture in the Kingdom
ZATCA exempts personal effects and used household items brought in by a Saudi returning after living abroad, and those brought in by a foreigner arriving to live in the Kingdom for the first time, provided they’re used, for personal rather than commercial use, and arrive within six months of their owner. Cars aren’t covered by this exemption, and VAT is still due on anything the exemption doesn’t cover. Usually required:
- A copy of the Saudi national ID, or the Saudi iqama for residents.
- A copy of the passport.
- Proof of previous residence in the UAE, or of arriving for the first time.
- A numbered packing list with the contents of every carton and item.
- An authorisation for the customs broker through the FASAH platform.
New boxed appliances in quantity, however, may be treated as goods subject to duties and tax, and we’ll tell you before loading.
Goods from Fujairah Port to the Kingdom
We collect goods from Fujairah Port or from traders’ warehouses and ship them by land in trailers or by sea in containers to Dammam or Jeddah, with their invoices and certificates of origin.
Documents required for shipping from Fujairah to Saudi Arabia
- A copy of the sender’s passport and Emirates ID or residence visa.
- A copy of the receiver’s Saudi national ID or iqama.
- A numbered packing list.
- For goods: a commercial invoice, certificate of origin and packing list, plus a conformity certificate through the SABER platform where needed.
- For cars: the ownership card and the export certificate.
- The broker’s authorisation through the FASAH platform.
Crossing from Ghuwaifat to Al Batha
The truck leaves the Ghuwaifat crossing once the UAE export papers are stamped, then enters the Al Batha crossing, the only land crossing between the two countries, where the broker files the Saudi customs declaration and the load is checked against the packing list. When the papers have been sent ahead, this usually takes a few hours, and the truck then carries on to your city. From Fujairah, we add about two hours to the Dubai route to reach the crossing.
Delivery in Saudi cities
We deliver to Riyadh, Dammam, Al Ahsa, Jeddah, Makkah, Madinah and elsewhere, carrying the furniture inside, reassembling it and checking it with you.

Urgent parcels and documents go by air from Fujairah or Dubai airport to Saudi cities in one to two working days. It’s charged on the greater of actual and volumetric weight, which you can estimate with our volumetric weight calculator. Cargo insurance
We recommend insuring cars, expensive appliances and antiques for a small percentage of their declared value, and we photograph your belongings before loading in every case, so you have a record to refer back to.
