Why does moving in Al Baha call for mountain experience?
A loaded truck on a steep slope needs good brakes and a driver who knows the road, a long lorry simply won’t fit down a winding street, and a house on a hillside may be reached by a long flight of steps. That’s why we survey the site, or ask for photos, before booking, and we choose the vehicle by the width of the road, not just the amount of furniture. If the road can’t take a large truck, we split the move into two trips with a smaller vehicle rather than gamble with your furniture.
Furniture moving prices in Al Baha
| Move | Price |

| One or two rooms | From SAR 370 |
| Three-bedroom apartment | From SAR 640 |
| Villa | From SAR 1,100 |

Extra charges apply for moves to distant governorates and villages, depending on distance and road, as well as for upper floors without a lift, dismantling and reassembly, and full packing. We give you the complete price before you book.
The right vehicle for Al Baha’s roads
| Vehicle | Best for | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Wanet | A single room, appliances or a short trip | Gets into the narrowest streets and villages |
| Small dyna | A small apartment | Fits most districts |
| Large dyna | A whole house or villa | For wide streets; we bring in a smaller vehicle for the final stretch when needed |
If you only have a few pieces, you’ll find the details on our wanet service page.
Packing furniture for Al Baha’s climate

Al Baha’s humidity gets into wood, fabric and paper if they’re left exposed, and rain can arrive without warning in the middle of unloading. We wrap sofas and mattresses in stretch film and then a cover, protect wooden pieces with moving blankets, drop moisture-absorbing sachets into boxes of clothes and books, and pull a tight tarp over the whole load. If the rain starts getting heavier during the move, we pause unloading until it eases.
Loading and securing for steep roads

On slopes and hairpin bends a load wants to shift, so we strap every layer to the sides of the truck bed, keep the heavy items low and in the middle, and fill the gaps with boxes and mattresses. On mountain roads we never load higher than the sides of the truck.
Furniture dismantling and assembly

We take apart bedroom sets, wardrobes and tables, bag the screws in numbered bags tied to each piece, then reassemble everything in the new home and adjust the doors. In old stone houses with narrow doorways, we dismantle anything that won’t pass through the entrance, even if it’s a small piece.
Al Baha’s districts and governorates
| Area | Places |
|---|---|
| Al Baha districts | Al Zarqa, Al Rawnah, King Fahd, Al Nuzhah, Al Salam, Al Hizam Al Akhdar, Al Dubbat, Al Iskan, Al Matar, Al Qimmah, Al Souq |
| Governorates | Baljurashi, Al Mandaq, Al Makhwah, Qilwah, Al Aqiq, Al Qura, Al Hajrah, Bani Hasan, Ghamid Al Zinad |
| Villages and centres | We reach them once we know the location and the road, sometimes using a smaller vehicle to get there |
Delivery to villages and governorates

If your home is in a village with a narrow road, we park the large truck at the nearest safe spot and finish the trip to your door with a smaller vehicle. We work this out from your location before booking and include it in the price from the start, so there are no surprises on moving day.
From Al Baha to other cities
We also move furniture from Al Baha to Jeddah, Makkah, Taif and Riyadh. For moves between Riyadh and Al Baha, see furniture moving from Riyadh to Al Baha, and for intercity moves in general, see moving furniture between cities.
Tips for a smooth move in Al Baha
- Pick a date in spring or autumn if you can.
- Send us your home’s location so we know how wide the road is before booking.
- Set aside a dry spot inside the new home for the boxes.
- Don’t unwrap furniture in a damp room.
- Ask for a price that includes delivery all the way to your village.
The move, from the first call to the last piece
- Survey and estimate: you send photos of the rooms or we visit, so we know the volume in cubic metres, the large pieces and the floors involved.
- Price and date: we give you a clear price with everything it covers, and agree on the loading day and the arrival day.
- Dismantling and packing: on loading day, or the day before for large homes, with each item packed in the material that suits it.
- Loading and inventory: packed in an order that protects every piece, with a list of all boxes and items.
- On the road: a closed truck, a driver who knows the route, and updates for you along the way.
- Unloading and assembly: every piece placed in its room, then a final check before we leave.
How do you know everything arrived?
By the list. Every box carries a number and a room name, every large item is written on the loading list, and valuable pieces are photographed before they’re wrapped. When we unload, we count the boxes with you and go over the items, and we don’t leave until you’ve checked for yourself.
Tips before moving day
- Get rid of what you don’t need before packing, since every item you move costs money.
- Measure the rooms and doorways of the new home before the move.
- Empty wardrobes and drawers into boxes labelled by room.
- Keep documents, gold, medicines and chargers in a bag that stays with you.
- Pack a bag for your first day in the new home.
Moving offices and shops in Al Baha
We also move furniture for offices, shops and private schools within Al Baha: desks, chairs, filing cabinets and equipment. We number everything by room and can move outside working hours if you ask, so your work doesn’t have to stop.
Appliances and air conditioners
Fridges and washing machines travel upright and strapped in place, while air conditioners are removed by a technician and reinstalled in the new home. In houses that rely on heaters in winter, we disconnect and pack those along with the other appliances.
