Packing Furniture for Moving
p>Packing is what really protects your furniture, not the vehicle and not the road. A well-wrapped piece arrives intact even after a long journey, while one thrown into the truck unprotected can get scratched on a move across the neighbourhood. That is why we pack before carrying, not after, and every piece gets its own material.
The Right Material for Every Piece
| Item | Material | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Wardrobes and wooden furniture | Moving blankets and residue-free tape | Prevents scratches and keeps doors shut |
| Sofas and mattresses | Stretch film, then a fabric cover, and mattress bags | Keeps fabric safe from dust and stains |
| Mirrors and paintings | Foam corners and a reinforced cardboard frame | Stops the edges from breaking |
| TV screens | Original box, or bubble wrap with reinforced cardboard | Always transported upright |
| Dishes and crystal | Packing paper and double-walled divided boxes | Every piece in its own slot |
| Appliances | Tape on the doors and full covering | Stay closed and clean |
| Rugs | Rolled and tied, never folded | Protects the weave |
Labelling and the Packing List
Every box carries a number, the name of its room and a short note of what is inside, and we write a list of all boxes and pieces. On arrival, each box goes straight to its room, and you check the list with us before we leave.
What Can You Pack Yourself to Save Money?
- Clothes, in suitcases or bags.
- Books, in small boxes, because they get heavy.
- Personal items and important papers stay with you.
- Leave the glass, screens and valuable pieces to us.
Prices
Packing for delicate appliances starts from SAR 92, and full professional packing from SAR 140, depending on the volume. See our furniture moving prices page.
