What Raises or Lowers the Price?

• Volume: the number of rooms and pieces, and the biggest factor of all.
• Distance: within the neighbourhood is not the same as across the city, or between cities.
• Floors and lifts: stairs without a lift mean more workers and more time.
• Services: dismantling, assembly, packing and a crane.
• Season: the end of the month, the days before school and the Eid holidays are the busiest.

How to Get the Best Price

1. Send clear photos of every room so the estimate is accurate.
2. Get rid of what you no longer need before the move.
3. Pack your clothes and books yourself.
4. Book away from peak periods.
5. Ask what the price includes before you agree.

Be Wary of Very Cheap Quotes

A price far below the market usually means packing is not included, that dismantling and assembly will be added on moving day, or that the price will change once the truck is loaded. Ask for an itemised price showing what it covers, and agree on it before the vehicle moves.
