Distance and Route from Riyadh to Qassim
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| To Buraidah | About 350 km |
| To Unaizah | Close to the distance to Buraidah |
| To Ar Rass | About 415 km |
| Route | North along the Qassim Highway |
| Driving time to Buraidah | Four to four and a half hours for a truck |
It’s a clear dual-carriageway road with plenty of rest stops along the way. We stop once to check the straps, and we call you half an hour before we reach Buraidah or Unaizah. If you’re heading to Ar Rass or Al Mithnab, add about an hour.
Buraidah, Unaizah or Ar Rass?
The city changes the details, not the method. In Buraidah the streets are wide and the villas are modern, so the truck can usually pull up right at the door. In Unaizah your home might be in an older district down a narrow lane, so we unload on the nearest wide street and carry on with a smaller vehicle. Ar Rass, Al Mithnab and Al Bukayriyah are a bit further away, so the price goes up slightly, and we tell you the difference in advance.
Moving to Farms and Rest Houses
Qassim is a farming region, and many families have a palm farm or an istiraha (rest house) on the edge of town that they furnish with majlis seating, beds and appliances. Send us the farm’s location and a photo of the last stretch of road, because some farm tracks are unpaved or narrow, and we’ll choose the vehicle to suit. During date season the roads around Buraidah get busy in the mornings, so we plan to arrive in the afternoon.
Qassim University Students
If you’re a student moving your room to accommodation near Qassim University, you don’t need a whole truck. We put your things on a shared trip, packed and labelled with your name, and you only pay for the space they take up.
Furniture Moving Prices from Riyadh to Qassim
| Size | Price |
|---|---|
| A single room or small apartment | From SAR 740 |
| Two- or three-bedroom apartment | From SAR 1,100 |
| Four- or five-bedroom apartment | From SAR 1,660 |
| Villa | From SAR 2,120 |
| AC removal and installation | From SAR 140 per unit |
| Furniture hoist for high floors | From SAR 140 |
These are the prices for Buraidah and Unaizah; they’re slightly higher for Ar Rass, Al Mithnab, Al Bukayriyah and the more distant villages. The final price depends on the volume, the floors and the services you need.
What Changes the Price on This Route?
- The volume of furniture.
- The city: Buraidah and Unaizah are closer, while Ar Rass and Al Mithnab are further.
- The floors, and whether a furniture hoist is needed.
- How many AC units need removing and installing.
- Dismantling and reassembly, and full packing.
Getting the Furniture Ready for the Journey

Before the truck leaves Riyadh, every piece has its protection: blankets for wood, film and covers for fabric, upright reinforced frames for glass, and appliances standing upright and strapped in. We keep the most delicate pieces at the top of the load near the doors, so they’re the first to come off and the last to take any pressure.
We also seal boxes of clothes and bedding with strong tape, because there’s more dust in Qassim in spring.
Loading in Riyadh
We start early, protect the hallways, dismantle and pack, and load in the order the furniture will come off in Qassim: the large pieces that need reassembling first, then the boxes. We photograph the load before we set off.

| Private truck | Shared truck | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | A full home or villa | One room or a few items |
| Departure | The same day as loading | Once the truck is full |
| Cost | Higher | Lower |
How Long the Move from Riyadh to Qassim Takes

| Stage | Approximate time |
|---|---|
| Dismantling, packing and loading | Three to six hours |
| On the road to Buraidah | Four to four and a half hours |
| Unloading and reassembly | Three to six hours |
| Total | Usually one day, and a day and a half for a villa |
We call you when we leave Riyadh and again before we arrive.
Before We Set Off from Riyadh
Before the truck moves, we check three things: that the new home is ready to take the furniture, that the lift or entrance is sorted, and that someone is there to receive it if you can’t be. If anything changes with the timing, we want to know early so we can rearrange things without leaving your furniture stuck on the road.
Appliances Before Loading and After Arrival
We’ll ask you to switch off and empty the fridge before moving day; we tape the doors shut and carry it upright. The washing machine is drained and its drum locked, and the cooker is disconnected from the gas by a technician or by you. AC units are removed by a technician who keeps the gas in, and they’re installed in the new home once the wall openings and lines have been checked. After arrival we leave the fridge standing for a few hours before switching it on, because that’s what protects the compressor after a long journey.
Moving to Qassim: What to Expect
Qassim is a region of several cities, not just one. Buraidah is the biggest, with planned districts and wide streets, and modern villas in Al Rayyan, Al Fayziyah, Al Khaleej and Al Iskan. Unaizah is quieter, with old districts and narrower lanes alongside the newer neighbourhoods. Ar Rass, Al Bukayriyah, Al Badaie and Al Mithnab are smaller towns surrounded by farms. Many people moving to Qassim are families returning to be near relatives, students and staff at Qassim University, or families taking part of their furniture to a farm or rest house.
Pickup and Delivery Districts
| City | Districts we serve |
|---|---|
| Riyadh | Al Malqa, Al Yasmin, Al Narjis, Hittin, Al Sahafah, Al Olaya, Al Malaz, Al Rawdah, Al Naseem, Al Shifa, Al Aziziyah, Al Suwaidi |
| Buraidah | Al Rayyan, Al Fayziyah, Al Khaleej, Al Nahdah, Al Iskan, Al Safra, Al Rabwah, Al Khuzama, King Fahd district |
| Qassim cities | Unaizah, Ar Rass, Al Bukayriyah, Al Badaie, Al Mithnab, Riyadh Al Khabra, Uyun Al Jiwa |
We also reach the farms and rest houses around these cities.
Unloading and Reassembly in Qassim

We carry every piece into its room, reassemble the beds, wardrobes and majlis seating, have the technician install the AC units if you’ve asked for it, and then go through the inventory with you.
If Your New Home Isn’t Ready Yet
If your home in Qassim isn’t ready, temporary storage keeps your furniture packed and numbered until you have the keys, then we deliver it and set it up.
Can You Move Just Part of the Furniture?
Yes, and it happens a lot: a family leaves the Riyadh home furnished and only moves the bedrooms and appliances, or an employee takes a desk and a bed to their new place in Qassim. We take the pieces you choose, pack and load them, then deliver and reassemble them, and the price is based on their volume, not the size of the house.
Dyna, Truck or Hoist: What Do We Use?
We choose the vehicle to fit the furniture, not the other way round. A small load only needs a closed dyna, a medium apartment takes a closed truck of roughly six metres, and a villa needs a bigger truck or two. If the apartment is on a high floor and the lift can’t take the wardrobes and large sofas, we use an external hoist that lowers the pieces from the balcony or window and lifts them up the same way in Qassim, so nothing gets dragged down the stairs.
The Price We Agree On
We give you the price after seeing photos of the rooms or doing a survey, with everything it covers written down: the truck, the workers, dismantling and reassembly, packing, and any extras such as a hoist or storage. That price doesn’t change on moving day unless the amount of furniture itself changes, for example if you add a room that wasn’t in the photos. That’s why we ask for clear photos of every room, the storeroom and the roof before you book.
Inventory and Records Before the Truck Leaves
Before loading, we write up a list with you of the large pieces and the number of boxes, photograph valuable items and their condition, and put every set of screws in a numbered bag tied to its piece. That list is what we go through with you on delivery in the other city, so nothing goes missing and there’s no dispute about the condition of any piece.
What Needs Special Packing?
Glass, mirrors, TVs, chandeliers and antiques. We wrap these in several layers, stand them upright, and give them their own space in the truck with nothing placed on top.
And from Qassim to Riyadh?
Yes, the route works both ways. We collect from your home in Qassim, pack and load, then deliver and reassemble in Riyadh, and you’ll find the prices close to those for the outbound trip.
Mistakes We See Again and Again on Moves to Qassim

- Forgetting to send the farm’s location.
- Loading in the afternoon, so the furniture arrives at night.
- Moving AC units without a technician.
The Stages of the Move as We Carry Them Out
- A few days before: a survey, a price and a booked date.
- The day before: a reminder to switch off the fridge and empty the drawers, and confirmation of the lift.
- Loading day: protecting the hallways, dismantling, packing and orderly loading.
- On the road: checking the straps at rest stops, and a call before we arrive.
- On arrival: unloading, reassembly and a final check.
