Furniture Moving Company in Makkah +966546575837 — Every District, Timed Around Hajj and Umrah

Furniture moving company in Makkah

Furniture moving inside Makkah in every district: before-dawn or after-Isha slots in the seasons, small vehicles for hillside districts and areas near the Haram, a hoist for high floors, dismantling, packing and assembly, and moves from Makkah to Jeddah and Taif.

p>Moving within Makkah has rules of its own. The Hajj and Umrah seasons change how traffic flows, large trucks face restrictions near the Haram and during prayer times, many districts sit on mountain slopes with steep streets or a single way in, and old buildings with narrow stairwells stand right beside modern towers with service lifts. We move your furniture within Makkah with all of that in mind: we pick the date and the vehicle to suit the district and the season, then dismantle, pack, move and reassemble everything in your new home.

What makes moving in Makkah different?

The seasons

During Hajj and at the peak of the Umrah season, especially in Ramadan, some roads close or change direction and the city fills up. So on those days we move in the evening or before dawn, or we suggest a date before or after the season if that works for you.

Proximity to the Haram

The central districts close to the Haram, such as Ajyad, Al Misfalah and Al Shubaikah, have restrictions on large trucks and entry times, and sometimes need a permit. There we use a smaller vehicle and arrange the timing in advance.

Mountains and steep streets

Many districts lie on hillsides with a single entrance or a very steep street. We find this out from your location, choose a vehicle that can get there safely, and may unload in two stages.

Packing furniture before the move

Packing furniture before a move in Makkah

Makkah homes often have chandeliers, serving sets and large rugs, so we take down chandeliers and pack them in padded boxes, wrap serving sets in paper inside divided cartons, and roll and tie rugs without folding them. Sofas and mattresses go into stretch film and a cover, and wooden furniture into moving blankets.

Loading on steep streets

Loading on a sloping Makkah street

On a slope we park the truck safely and chock its wheels, move heavy pieces carefully on dollies, and strap the load down before setting off. On a steep street we only load what can be secured straight away.

Old buildings and high-rise towers

In older districts such as Al Hindawiyah and Al Misfalah, stairwells are narrow and many buildings have no lift, so we bring extra crew, dismantle pieces before carrying them down, and use the furniture lift for anything that won’t fit down the stairs. In the newer towers of Al Aziziyah and Al Rusaifah, we book the service lift with you and line its walls with blankets.

Dismantling and reassembling furniture and air conditioners

Dismantling and assembly in Makkah

We dismantle bedroom sets, wardrobes and tables, while a technician removes split air conditioners, recovers the gas and reinstalls them in the new home. We hang chandeliers once we’ve checked the ceiling fixing is sound, and adjust doors and drawers.

From Makkah to Jeddah, Taif and other cities

We move furniture from Makkah to Jeddah from SAR 740, and to Taif, Madinah and Riyadh at a price set once we know the volume. For moves from Riyadh to Makkah, see furniture moving from Riyadh to Makkah.

Common mistakes when moving in Makkah

  • Booking a date at the height of the season with no flexibility.
  • Not mentioning that the district is on a mountain or close to the Haram.
  • Forgetting to book the tower’s lift.
  • Moving chandeliers without padded boxes.

How does the move work, step by step?

  1. The request: you call or fill in the request form and send some photos.
  2. The estimate: we work out the volume, the truck type and the size of the crew.
  3. The agreement: an itemised price and dates for loading and arrival.
  4. Loading day: dismantling, packing, numbering, loading and photographing the load.
  5. Arrival day: unloading, assembly and checking everything against the list.

How do you know everything arrived?

By the list. Every box carries a number and a room name, every large item is written on the loading list, and valuable pieces are photographed before they’re wrapped. When we unload, we count the boxes with you and go over the items, and we don’t leave until you’ve checked for yourself.

What do you need to prepare?

  • Photos of the rooms, sent before booking.
  • A lift booking at both buildings.
  • The fridge switched off at least six hours beforehand.
  • A bag of personal belongings that stays with you.
  • The number of whoever will receive the furniture if you can’t be there.

Moving offices, hotels and furnished apartments

Makkah has plenty of furnished apartments, small hotels and service offices. We move their furniture in bulk, number every piece by room and floor, and work at times that won’t disturb guests or business, especially before and after the seasons.

Moving a bride’s trousseau in Makkah

We also move a bride’s trousseau from the showrooms and her family home to the marital home in Makkah, in a closed truck with clean packing, assembly and arrangement. You’ll find the details under bride’s trousseau moving in Jeddah, as the service covers Makkah too.
