The furniture we buy in Jeddah
Bedrooms
Master bedrooms and teen and children’s rooms, either as complete sets or just a wardrobe and bed, in solid wood or particleboard.
Sofas and majlis seating
Sofa sets, corner sofas and Arabic majlis sets with their back cushions and curtains, as long as the fabric is intact with no tears or set-in stains.
Dining sets and tables
Dining tables with chairs, sideboards, coffee tables and side tables.
Air conditioners and appliances
Split and window ACs, fridges, washing machines, dryers, ovens and TV screens, once we’ve checked that they work.
Kitchens
Aluminium and wood kitchens that can be taken out intact, priced after we measure and inspect them.
Branded furniture and classic pieces
IKEA, Home Centre and other brands, plus classic pieces, antiques, chandeliers and large mirrors after inspection.
Offices, furnished apartments and restaurants
Office furniture when a business relocates, furniture from furnished apartments and rest houses, and restaurant and café equipment.
What we don’t buy
- Used mattresses and bedding, for hygiene reasons.
- Pieces damaged by damp, mould or termites.
- Broken pieces that would cost more to repair than they’re worth.
- Broken appliances, except some types for their spare-parts value, and we’ll tell you so at the inspection.
Jeddah’s humidity and what it does to furniture prices
Humidity is a factor many people selling their furniture in Jeddah don’t think about. Particleboard in homes near the sea can swell at the edges, fabric holds on to smells, and metal hinges and handles rust. That’s why we look closely at the bottom edges of wardrobes, the backs of sofas and the hinges. Furniture that has been kept in air-conditioned rooms, away from balconies, holds its value better.

How does condition decide the price?
We place every piece in one of three grades, then set its price according to its type, age and demand:
| Grade | What the piece looks like | Effect on price |
|---|---|---|
| Excellent | Clean, no visible scratches, joints and doors sound, fairly new | The top price for its type |
| Good | Clear signs of use and light scratches, only needs cleaning | A mid-range price |
| Fair | Needs minor repairs, new upholstery or new handles | A lower price |
| Unsuitable | Damp, termites or major breakage | We don’t buy it |
Because every piece is different, we set the price once we’ve seen it. Send us the photos and we’ll reply with an initial estimate, then confirm the price on the visit.
What raises the price within the same grade?
- Solid wood over particleboard.
- A complete set over scattered pieces.
- A well-known brand and a model people want.
- Having the invoice, or knowing the year of purchase.
- Easy access: a ground floor or a roomy lift.
How to photograph your furniture for an accurate estimate
- Take the photos in daylight with the curtains open.
- Take one full shot of the piece, then two from the sides.
- Photograph any defect up close: a scratch, a stain or a break.
- Photograph the brand name or label if there is one.
- Mention the approximate age of the piece, your floor and whether there’s a lift.
Steps to sell
- Photos: you send them along with your location.
- Initial estimate: we reply based on the photos.
- Inspection: a short visit to check the items.
- Final price: agreed piece by piece or for the whole home.
- Payment: you receive the money before dismantling.
- Dismantling and removal: we dismantle, load and clean up.
Careful dismantling, and a clean place when we leave

Your home is still your home after we leave, or it goes back to the landlord and you need to hand it over in good condition. So we dismantle each piece with the right tools, bag the screws, and protect floors, walls and corridors while carrying. ACs are removed by a technician who pumps down the gas and disconnects the lines without breaking the wall. Once everything is loaded, we collect the boxes, wrapping and debris, so nothing is left in the flat except what we agreed would stay.
Towers, older buildings and narrow streets

We buy from the towers on the Corniche, Al Shati and Al Muhammadiyah after booking the service lift, and from older buildings in Al Baghdadiyah, Al Ammariyah and Al Hindawiyah, where the stairs are narrow and the streets narrower still; there we bring a smaller vehicle and a bigger crew. And from villas in Obhur, Al Murjan and Durrat Al Arous, we usually clear the whole house in a single day.
Clearing your flat before the lease ends or before you travel
Many people selling their furniture in Jeddah are vacating a rented flat or leaving the Kingdom. In that case two things matter to you: that everything is bought in one go, and that the flat is handed over clean and on time. We buy the furniture, appliances and air conditioners together, and time the clearance around your handover date with the landlord. And if you want to ship some of your belongings home, you’ll find the shipping routes available from Jeddah.
Sell to us or list it on Haraj?
| Selling to us | Listing on Haraj | |
|---|---|---|
| Time | A day or two | Days or weeks |
| Dismantling and removal | On us | On the buyer, or on you |
| Selling everything at once | Yes | Rarely |
| Price | Fair for the condition, and covers the cost of dismantling and removal | May be higher for a sought-after piece |
| Visits | A single visit | Multiple visits and haggling |
What do we do with the furniture after we buy it?

We take the pieces to our warehouse and sort them: what’s in good shape is steam-cleaned, polished and put on display, what needs work is repaired or reupholstered, and what can’t be saved is stripped for its materials. That way the furniture goes back into other homes at a reasonable price instead of ending up at the dump.

Air conditioners: we check before the final price
A split AC in Jeddah runs long hours for most of the year, and sea humidity reaches the outdoor unit. So we never set its final price from a photo alone: we switch it on, check the cooling and the sound of the compressor, and look at the condition of the outdoor unit, its nameplate and year of manufacture. Then the technician pumps the gas down into the outdoor unit, disconnects the lines, and brings both units down without breaking the wall or leaving an open hole, and we cover the opening if you ask. Window units are easier to remove; we take them out and leave the opening clean.
Five questions to ask before you sell
There’s a well-known trick in Jeddah’s used furniture market: a good price over the phone, then a big cut after dismantling on the pretext of some defect, when it’s hard for the homeowner to back out. These questions protect you from it, whoever the buyer is:
- Is the inspection free, or does he charge for the visit?
- Does he pay before dismantling or after loading?
- Who covers dismantling, carrying down from the floor and removal?
- Can the price change after dismantling, and when?
- Will he collect the debris and leave the place clean?
With us the answers are clear: a free inspection, payment before dismantling, dismantling and removal on us, and a price that only changes for a defect that didn’t show in the photos or at the inspection, which we’ll tell you about before any adjustment.
Three situations we see often
A family leaving the Kingdom within a week
Time is short and the lease is ending, so there’s no way to list each piece on Haraj. We inspect in a day, buy the furniture, appliances and ACs in one go, and clear the flat on the day that fits the handover, while the things being shipped with the family stay in a separate room.
Renewing the bedroom and majlis
New furniture is arriving from the showroom in a few days, and the old set has to go first. We schedule buying and dismantling the old pieces a day before the new ones arrive, so furniture doesn’t pile up in the house.
Closing an office or a café
Desks, chairs and cabinets, or tables, chairs and equipment. We assess the quantity, offer a price for the whole place, and move outside working hours if the building requires it.
Before the inspector arrives: what raises your price
- Clean the pieces and dust them; first impressions affect the valuation.
- Empty wardrobes and drawers so we can check them inside.
- Gather the pieces of each set in one place if you can.
- Have any invoice or old warranty card ready.
- Switch on the ACs and the fridge an hour before the appointment.
- Don’t dismantle anything yourself; doing it wrong breaks joints and lowers the price.
Busy furniture-selling seasons in Jeddah
Sales of used furniture in Jeddah pick up at the end of the school year when families move, before the long holidays, when rental contracts end, and after the busy seasons when some residents leave. Appointments fill up at these times, so it’s best to send your photos a few days before your move-out date and pick the inspection time that suits you.
